Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using cpycat.com ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Cpycat Ltd ("Cpycat", "we", "us") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Cpycat. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
You must provide accurate information during registration
One account per person — no impersonation
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Clone Creation — Your Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you upload (photos, voice recordings, writing samples). By uploading, you grant Cpycat a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process this content solely for the purpose of creating and operating your AI clone.

4.2 Your Responsibility

You may only clone yourself — you must have the right to use the likeness, voice, and content you upload
Cloning another person without their explicit written consent is strictly prohibited
You are responsible for all content your clone generates

4.3 Deletion

You can delete your clone and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent and completed within 30 days.

5. AI-Generated Content

Clone responses are AI-generated and may not always be accurate
Cpycat is not responsible for the content generated by your clone
You should review your clone's outputs, especially in auto-pilot mode
AI clones must not be used to generate illegal, harmful, or deceptive content

6. Clone Commentator

Comments posted by your clone on social media platforms are your responsibility
You must comply with each platform's terms of service
Cpycat is not liable for account actions taken by third-party platforms in response to clone-generated comments
Auto-pilot mode posts without your review — use at your own risk

7. Payments

7.1 Fan Subscriptions

Fans pay to interact with creator clones. Subscription fees are charged monthly via Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

7.2 Creator Revenue

Creators receive 80% of fan subscription and tip revenue. Cpycat retains 20% as a platform fee. Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect.

7.3 Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you experience a service issue, contact support.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not use Cpycat to:

Clone anyone other than yourself without consent
Generate sexually explicit content involving minors
Impersonate others for fraud or deception
Harass, threaten, or defame others
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the platform
Use automated tools to abuse the service (beyond intended clone features)

9. Intellectual Property

The Cpycat platform, including its design, code, and brand, is owned by Cpycat Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:

Cpycat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
We are not liable for third-party actions (social media platforms, payment processors)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Cpycat against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your clone's content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your clone data will be deleted within 30 days. You may terminate your account at any time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
